Mr Peter Obi Donates N30 Million to Dominican University, Ibadan

The former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential Aspirant, Mr Peter Obi paid a visit to Dominican University, Ibadan in Oyo state where he donated N30million to the institution's ongoing development. 

According to him, he left Lagos at 5:30 a.m. and arrived in Ibadan at 8:00 a.m, made his way straight to Dominican University where he engaged with the students of the University and also encouraged them to aim for excellence not just in their academics but also in character. 

Mr Peter Obi stated how he forgot his phone when leaving the university, and the students found it and returned it to him. The simple and amazing act from the students made him so proud of the institution, stating that;
"This act of honesty reflects what Dominican University stands for: not only as a centre of learning but also as a place where character is shaped."


According to him, he believes that a new Nigeria is POssible.

Mr. Peter Obi has consistently maintained that education remains the foundation of national growth and economic development. Over the years, he has supported several educational institutions across the country, often emphasizing that Nigeria’s progress depends largely on the quality of education accessible to its youth. This latest donation reflects that philosophy in action.

Purpose of the ₦30 Million Donation

The ₦30 million donation is expected to support academic development, infrastructure improvement, and institutional growth at Dominican University. The university, located in Ibadan, Oyo State, is a faith-based private institution known for promoting academic excellence, discipline, and strong moral values.
