To address concerns about regional representation in important federal positions, the Presidency published an extensive list of President Bola Tinubu's appointees across Nigeria.

Meanwhile, this review was prompted by the recent criticism by Senator Ali Ndume, accusing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of lopsided political appointments under his administration. Ndume had warned that, if left unchecked, the tendency might have far-reaching effects and accused the Tinubu administration of breaking the federal character principle in its nominations.

But in a statement released Tuesday, Bayo Onanuga, the president's special assistant on media and strategy, charged the Borno South senator with misleading information and hypocrisy.
