Enugu Air, a state-owned commercial airline founded by the Governor Peter Mbah Administration, was inaugurated on Monday by Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development. The company starts its operation with Embraer aircraft.

Keyamo recalled Mbah's tenacity and drive in making Enugu Air a reality, calling him "an incredible, performing governor" and stating that, considering the amount of work he had accomplished in just two years, it would be challenging to defeat him in the 2027 election.
He praised the government for selecting XEJet as Enugu Air's operator and partner, calling XEJet a vital player in the country's and Africa's aviation sector that is entirely owned by Nigeria and extremely skilled. XEJet is also the operator running the Sierra Leonean National Airline.
