Following a physical assault by his teacher, Mrs. Stella Nwadigbo, three-year-old Abayomi Michael of Christ Mitots School in the Isawo neighborhood of Ikorodu, Lagos State, has been awarded a complete scholarship that would cover his education all the way to university.
A scholarship has been made available by the Lagos State Government to help with his academic endeavors. Michael's family and Gidi Real Estate Investment Ltd. worked together to formalize the scholarship, underscoring the value of public-private partnerships in aiding the most vulnerable members of society.
Lagos State Commissioner for Youths and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, underlined the Ministry's dedication to collaborating with people and groups that support the rights of citizens who are at risk.
Meanwhile, to make things even easier for Michael's mother, Mrs. Nike Okunlaya, who is a widow, the company has also given her a two-bedroom apartment.
