
Following the retirement of Mr John Ugbe, Multuchoice Nigeria has appointed a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the person of Kemi Omotosho. According to Multichoice, this appointment takes effect immediately from January 2026. This is a new transition of Leadership from Mr Ugbe, who has been the CEO of the Media and Entertainment company for over a decade.
Kemi's Professional Background
Kemi Omotosho brings over 2 decades of valuable experience to the Media Company. She has been in several leadership roles, both in the Multichoice group and outside the organization, such as Airtel Nigeria, where she set up her foundation before joining Multichoice Group. In Airtel Nigeria, she worked in different departments such as the Sales Department, Customer Service, and other main functions for a decade (2003 - 2013)
Before becoming the CEO of Multichoice, she had functioned in several senior roles (2014 - 2025)

Kemi Omotosho's Education & Professional Background
She has her first degree in University of Ilorin and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry. She later proceeded to further her education in Lagos Business School (Pan-Atlantic University) with an Executive MBA. Kemi has been involved in many executive leadership and business programmes at internationally recognised institutions such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD, IESE Business School, and others.
