When it comes to fashion statements on Nigerian television, no one does it quite like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. At the double launch of Big Brother Naija Season 10 , the iconic host didn’t just show up — he made history with four powerful looks, each one a tribute to legendary Nigerian icons.

From Nollywood to highlife, and politics to Afrobeat, Ebuka turned the BBNaija stage into a moving runway of heritage, culture, and unforgettable fashion. Here's a breakdown of each look and the stories they told:

Look  1: Osuofia Reloaded

Inspiration: Nollywood Actor, Nkem Owoh (Osuofia)
For Night 1, Ebuka channeled one of Nollywood’s most beloved comedic legends — Osuofia himself. Styled by ATAFO, he wore a crystal-studded denim jacket over a crisp white shirt and bow tie, paired with exaggerated pink flared trousers. He completed the look with dark shades and a traditional white fila cap — a perfect blend of retro mischief and modern class. The look was playful, flamboyant, and unapologetically Osuofia.

Look 2: Sweet Mother Nostalgia

Inspiration: Prince Nico Mbarga
Ebuka’s first look on Night 2 paid homage to the highlife legend behind the timeless hit “Sweet Mother.” Dressed in a retro-inspired patterned outfit with wide-legged pants and an open-neck shirt, Ebuka brought back the golden era of African highlife music. The outfit echoed Nico Mbarga’s flashy stage presence, celebrating an icon whose music lives on in every Nigerian home.

Look 3: King Sunny Ade Royale

For his second appearance on Night 2, Ebuka stunned again — this time invoking the elegance of juju music royalty. Draped in a regal, richly textured ensemble that mimicked King Sunny Ade’s stage attire, Ebuka fused traditional Yoruba aesthetics with a superstar’s polish. It was bold, majestic, and deeply symbolic of Nigeria’s musical legacy.

Look 4: The Statesman Effect

Inspiration: Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh
For his final look, Ebuka took things a notch higher with a tribute to Nigeria’s first Minister of Finance, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh — known for his flamboyant style and political charisma. This look featured structured native wear and signature accessories, capturing the dignified elegance of a man who redefined what it meant to be a stylish public servant.

More Than Fashion – A Cultural Showcase

Ebuka didn’t just wear clothes — he wore stories, memories, and legacies. Each outfit was a conversation starter, a visual journey through Nigerian excellence across music, film, and politics. From the laughter Osuofia gave us, to the songs that raised us, to the leaders that shaped our country — Ebuka brought them all to life with class and creativity.

In conclusion, with BBNaija Season 10 already off to an electric start, Ebuka has once again proven why he’s not just a host, but a cultural ambassador through fashion.
