The Dangote Group has announced it will cover all medical expenses and provide compensation to Ruth Otabor, the sister of Big Brother Naija winner Phyna, after she was hit by one of the company’s trailers in Auchi, Edo State.
The accident, which led to the amputation of one of Ruth’s legs, sparked public outrage and calls for justice. In a statement, Dangote Cement Plc confirmed that company officials and insurance representatives have visited Ruth in the hospital, met with her family, and assured them of ongoing support until her recovery.
The company expressed deep concern over the incident, promising to uphold its welfare policies and ensure that Ruth receives the best possible care.
