Dr. Allen Onyema, the chief executive officer of Air Peace, and Mrs. Ejiro Eghagha, the chief financial/administrative officer, were both charged with fraud by the US Department of Justice. These reports have been addressed by Air Peace management.
The airline has reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and integrity, saying that it is now looking into the allegations and asking the public to postpone passing judgment until the investigation is over.
In a statement released on Sunday by the airline, it stated that the case was already in court.
“Our legal team is devoted to the case and is making every effort to see that justice is served.”
The statement also stated, “We remain confident that the truth will be revealed and our CEO and co-defendant will be exonerated through due process.”
